I can never watch him. Not for a 30 second news clip much less a State Of The Union. All I can think of when I see him is How the Hell did this happen?
I wish he'd step down or get impeached. Dick Cheney, though far from perfect, is superior as opposed to Bush. Now Cheney I can/do/will listen to. And while I disagree with him the majority of the time I find him to be much more believable and dignified.
I know how it happened. Gore lost. Then Kerry lost. Didn't you get the memo?
It doesn't have anything to do with "him". It has to do with the speech itself. I wish the President, whomever he is, would go back to the tradition of putting it in a letter and sending a messenger down the road to deliver it. Then it wouldn't have to be broadcast on the television.
State of the Union is nothing more than a "look how great I am" speech - see all the people giving me standing ovations... I agree Mikell - send an e-mail and be done with it!
